The fundamental difference among marriages that are good, average, or poor is the level of communication between husband and wife. In all marriages, there are times when you take each other, and your relationship, for granted. The Orthodox Marriage Encounter Weekend allows you to get off the "modern world treadmill", and take a fresh look at your marriage, priorities, and each other. The program talks are presented by three Orthodox couples (including a priest and his wife) who share their experiences and teach communications techniques; couples then return to the privacy of their own rooms for their discussions and sharing. Many couples are hardly aware of the presence of others except at mealtimes and Liturgy! Each weekend runs from Friday evening until dinnertime on Sunday; a non-refundable registration fee of $25 is required to confirm food and lodging, and donations to Orthodox Marriage Encounter are accepted at the end of the program.
Attending an Orthodox Marriage Encounter Weekend with your spouse can help you see what your relationship could and should be! Watch your parish's bulletins and activities boards for information on upcoming weekends near you
